Shipping Policy
Kaivo medications are dispensed by licensed partner pharmacies and shipped to your registered delivery address via cold-chain logistics where required. This policy explains how delivery works, timelines, and what to do if something goes wrong.
1. Where we deliver
Kaivo currently delivers across India to all serviceable PIN codes via our logistics partners. Some remote locations may have limited delivery availability. If we cannot deliver to your address, we will inform you before dispatch and refund any charges.
2. Cold chain and packaging
GLP-1 medications require refrigeration (typically 2°C to 8°C) and are shipped in temperature-controlled packaging with ice packs and thermal insulation. Our packaging is designed to maintain the required temperature range for the duration of transit. Once it arrives, keeping it cold is your responsibility — see our guide to storing and travelling with a GLP-1 in Indian heat for fridge placement, day-limits, and a power-cut protocol.
Each shipment includes:
- The prescribed medication, sealed and labelled per CDSCO requirements
- The prescription document issued by your Kaivo doctor
- Patient information leaflet
- Instructions for handling, storage, and disposal
- A pharmacy invoice/bill
3. Delivery timelines
Estimated delivery times from the date of prescription dispatch:
- Metro cities (Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata): 2–3 working days
- Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities: 3–5 working days
- Other serviceable locations: 5–7 working days
Delays may occur due to weather, public holidays, regulatory checks at logistics hubs, or events outside our control. We will keep you updated by SMS or email.
4. Delivery charges
Standard delivery is included in the price of your medication or plan. Express delivery (where available) may carry an additional charge, shown at checkout.
5. Receiving your order
For your safety and to comply with Schedule H/H1 dispensing requirements:
- An adult (18+) must be present to receive the shipment
- The recipient may be asked to show valid government-issued photo ID
- You may be asked to sign a delivery acknowledgement
- The package should be inspected at the time of delivery for any visible damage or tampering
Once delivered, please refrigerate the medication immediately as per the storage instructions on the label.
6. Failed deliveries and re-attempts
If the delivery agent cannot find anyone to receive the shipment, they will attempt up to 2 more deliveries (typically within 48 hours of each attempt). If all three attempts fail, the shipment is returned to the dispensing pharmacy. In such cases, we will contact you to arrange a re-shipment, which may incur a re-delivery charge.
7. Damaged, tampered, or incorrect shipments
If your shipment arrives damaged, tampered with, or contains the wrong medication or dosage:
- Do not use the medication
- Take clear photographs of the packaging and contents
- Email support@getkaivo.in within 24 hours with the photos and your order ID
We will arrange a free replacement and conduct an internal review.
8. Tracking your shipment
Once your order is dispatched, you will receive an SMS and email with a tracking link from our logistics partner. You can track the location of your shipment in real time.
9. International shipping
Kaivo does not currently ship medications outside India. Prescription medications are subject to the import/export laws of the destination country and Indian export rules.
